Beroitz etxea<\/h1>\n

Goi-gizartea<\/h2>\n

Beroitz etxea eraikin ederra da, haren soiltasunagatik. Ukitu aristokratikoa du, eta elementu apaingarri dotoreak, errenazentistak, gotiko berantiarrak eta barrokoak ditu. Burdina forjatuko balkoi jarraitua, egurrezko teilatu-hegal landuak, eta bolekin, arrosekin eta diamantezko puntekin apaindutako erlaitzak nabarmentzen dira. Leihoak eta ateak arku konopialekin errematatuta daude. Azken solairua geroago eraiki zen, 1912an; Ramon Zendoiak egin zuen proiektua. <\/p>\n

Gizarte barroko hura oso hierarkizatuta zegoen. Pertsona bakoitzak zegokion gizarte-ereduaren arabera jokatu behar zuen. Emakumeen kasua bereziki bitxia zen. Lau emakume \u00aberedu\u00bb zeuden: dontzeila, ezkondua, moja eta alarguna. Horiek guztiak gizarte-konbentzioen eraginpean bizi ziren. Dontzeilak \u00abbertutea mantendu\u00bb behar zuen, \u00abfamiliaren izen ona zaintzeko\u00bb. Ezkonduak \u00absenarra eta seme-alabak zaindu\u00bb behar zituen, eta ezin zuen beste okupaziorik izan. Mojak lege eklesiastiko zorrotzaren menpe bizi ziren. Eraikin honen anekdota \u00abJab\u00f3n Lagarto\u00bb iragarki-taula deigarria da, XX. mendearen hasierakoa. Lagarto enpresa Lizariturry eta Rezola familiek sortu zuten (Donostia, 1860), eta Lagarto xaboia izan zen haren produkturik ezagunena (1914). Fabrikako makineria handi eta zaratatsuak langileengan pizten zuen beldurrari dagokio izena, hura ikustean, honela oihu egiten baitzuten: \u201cLAGARTO, LAGARTO\u201d. <\/p>\n
