Els principals es van enderrocar entre el 1855 i el 1856 i estaven situats al final dels carrers Kale Nagusia i Andre kalea. Una tercera entrada s\u2019ubicava sota l\u2019antic ajuntament, a prop de la conflu\u00e8ncia d\u2019aquests dos carrers. Les dues portes restants comunicaven el carrer transversal (actual Felipe Sagarna \u201cZapa\u201d Kalea) amb l\u2019exterior. Precisament, aquest senzill arc ogival \u00e9s l\u2019\u00fanica entrada que en queda. Per\u00f2 eren m\u00e9s que aix\u00f2; durant l\u2019edat mitjana la muralla estableix el l\u00edmit entre dos mons: la separaci\u00f3 entre l\u2019ordre i el m\u00f3n salvatge; la protecci\u00f3 i el perill; el m\u00f3n urb\u00e0 i el m\u00f3n rural. Alfons X \u00abel Savi\u00bb, al segle XIII, defensava el terreny interior com si fos sagrat, una frontera magicoreligiosa, que els protegia, tant de l\u2019enemic infidel com d\u2019epid\u00e8mies i malalties. Els habitants de l\u2019interior, despr\u00e9s de convertir-se en burgesia, tenien una jurisprud\u00e8ncia pr\u00f2pia i gaudien d\u2019uns privilegis que no tenien els forans.
